Vehicle paintwork
General information
Regular vehicle care contributes to driving
safety and value retention. Environmental
influences in areas with elevated air pol-
lution or natural contaminants can affect
the vehicle paintwork. Environmental influ-
ences include tree resin or pollen, for exam-
ple.
To prevent paint alteration and discolora-
tion, remove corrosive substances immedi-
ately. Corrosive substances include spilled
fuel, oil, grease, or bird droppings, for exam-
ple.
Matte paintwork
Only use cleaning and care products suita-
ble for vehicles with matte paintwork.
Leather care
Dust and crumbs can work into pores and
folds, causing heavy abrasion and prema-
ture degradation of the leather surface.
Clean leather regularly with a damp cloth or
vacuum cleaner.
Certain clothes and other influences can
cause discoloration of the leather. To pre-
vent discoloration, clean and maintain the
leather roughly every two months.
Clean light-colored leather more frequently
because contamination on such surfaces is
substantially more visible.
Use leather care products to preserve the
protective layer of the leather.
To prevent leather alteration and discol-
oration, remove corrosive substances im-
mediately. Corrosive substances include
sunscreen, for example.
Synthetic leather care
Dust and crumbs can work into pores and

ture degradation of the artificial leather sur-
face.
Clean synthetic leather regularly with a
damp microfiber cloth or vacuum cleaner.
In case of major soiling, use a moist soft
sponge or microfiber cloth with suitable in-
terior cleaners.

sunscreen, for example.
