Calibration memory: The results of the 64 newest
calibrations are stored in the memory. The oldest are
overwritten in case more than 64 calibrations are performed.
Diagnostics memory: The first start-up of the day is stored
here. In case the instrument operates continuously without
going to the OFF state, an automatic diagnostics is run at
00:00:00 and the results are stored into a specific diagnostics
memory. This memory is able to store the data of over one
year of operation. When the memory becomes full, the oldest
diagnostics data is overwritten.
These special memory areas cannot be cleared with the
CSW-31 LITE/PRO software but require special service.
5.4.11 Advanced
The RDS-31 Advanced functionality can be enabled with CSW-31
Pro. The advanced functionality has three different operating
modes. These include Scaler, Background and Activity. All these
functions operate in similar way. These functions will count the
dose or counts for the set time and then display the results.
 Scaler functionality is available without external detectors.
In this mode the RDS-31 will count the received dose in the
configured time.
 The Background functionality is available with external
detectors. This functionality measures the background
activity. When you have measured the background you can
use the Activity functionality.
 The Activity functionality measures the activity of the
environment and subtracts the measured background from
this. The activity over background is then displayed.
