1 OUTLINE OF ADVANCED SYNCHRONOUS CONTROL
1.3 Operation Method of Synchronous Control
1.3 Operation Method of Synchronous Control
Synchronous control execution procedure
The synchronous control is executed using the following procedure.
*1 Page 28 INPUT AXIS MODULE
*2 Page 75 CAM FUNCTION
*3 Page 91 ADVANCED SYNCHRONOUS CONTROL, Page 144 Synchronous Control Initial Position Parameters
*4 Page 176 Sample Program for Synchronous Control
STEP 1
Preparation
End of control
Turn ON the target axis bit in "[Cd.380]
Synchronous control start" and start synchronous
control by the program in STEP 2.

*2
*3
STEP 2
*4
STEP 3
Set the cam data.
STEP 4
Start
synchronous
control
Turn ON the synchronous control start bit for the
axis that starts synchronous control.
Operate the input axis.
Operate the input axis by the program in STEP 2.
Turn OFF the target axis bit in "[Cd.380]
Synchronous control start" to stop synchronous
control by the program in STEP 2.
STEP 5
Monitor the synchronous control operation status.
Execute the control change for the speed change
ratio, cam No., etc.
STEP 6
Complete
synchronous
control
Stop the input axis.
Check that the input axis is stopped and turn
OFF the synchronous control start bit for the axis
that stops synchronous control.
Stop the input axis by the program in STEP 2.
Monitor the
synchronous
control and
change the
control.
Monitor the control using the engineering tool.
Change the control by the program in STEP 2.
Check that synchronous control is in progress.
Check that synchronous control is in progress in
"[Md.26] Axis operation status".
Create a program to start / change control / stop
synchronous control.
(Set "[Cd.380] Synchronous control start", start and
stop the input axis operation, and change the
reduction ratio.)
Set "synchronous parameters" for advanced
synchronous control. ([Pr.400] to [Pr.468])
Write the program, which is created
in STEP1 and STEP2, to the CPU module.
One of the following two methods can be used.
Method (1)
: Directly set (write) the parameters
in the Motion module using the engineering tool.
Method (2)
: Set (write) the parameters from the CPU module
to the Motion module using the program.
Set the following parameters.
• Common parameters ([Pr.82], [Pr.152])
• Positioning parameters ([Pr.1] to [Pr.4],
[Pr.7] to [Pr.22], [Pr.25] to [Pr.42], [Pr.81],
[Pr.83], [Pr.84], [Pr.90], [Pr.95],
[Pr.116] to [Pr.119], [Pr.122], [Pr.123])
• Extended parameters ([Pr.91] to [Pr.94])
Set "input axis parameters" for advanced
synchronous control.
[Pr.300] to [Pr.304], [Pr.320] to [Pr.329]
