(I) Overhauling tool sot
Before s ta rt ing to disassemble Ihe governor , wash the
exterior su rfaces of inje ction pump unit and set up the
pump on 'he bench. Drain lu be oil.
(I) Detach and remove the governor cover as follows :
(a) Loosen i dle lock nut (I). remove idling sub-
spring (2) , loosen s creWS se curing cover piece
(3). and ,ake off this cover piece .
(b) Remove the six screws (4) securing tilf' governor

cover to the housing, and detach the cover by
pulling it a little. Insert the s~rewdriver and
lTIove the shac kl e u pward or downward wi th
th e tip of screwd ri ver to und o the pin n ed
connection between c ontr ol r ack and sh a ckl e .
Disconnecting s ha ckle from control rack
(c) Using the lo ng-nose pliers. unhook 'he ,tart
spring. Rem ove the go vernor c over C"Drnp l ete
with (he l ever mechanism.
Dis.conne ' cting start spring
(2) Remove the Oyweighl> '" ronows:
(a) Remove round nut (5) by loosening 11 with the
round nul wrench .
