hole in the crankcase . Compute the clearanc e

the r epair limit. If the limit is ex -c eeded, re du ce
(he bac kl ash by replacing the worn ge ar . To
mea s ure bac kl as h, use a thickn ess gauge: pu t the
g auge squarely in to be tween two ge ar teeth.
