Creating the project A detailed description of project procedure and
saving and transferring of an MI4 project is provided
in the first example. Therefore, these points will be
mentioned only briefly.
왘 Start the MI4 Configurator. The program window
with its main menu and icon bars is displayed.
왘 Under ‹ Project
➞
Panel Setup...› select the panel
model MI4-471-TC1. The MI4-471-TA1 provides
a display size of 30 x 80 characters.
왘 Under ‹ Project
➞
Change Controller Driver...›
select the Suconet K K-M driver.

The selected driver will be displayed in the status
bar on the lower edge of the screen.
왘 Under ‹ Project
➞
Controller Setup...› select the
PLC with which you wish to operate the MI4. In
this example, the PS4-141-MM1.
왘 Set Communication Buffer Sizes for input and
output at 20.
These entries must correspond with the settings
you later make in the Sucosoft S40 Topology
Configurator.
The slave number is entered under Panel ID:
Slave 1 in this instance.
Following these preliminary settings the configurator
will present a display field on the screen which
corresponds to the MI4 display.
