1.3 CONVENTIONS
The following conventions apply throughout this manual.
1. Hexadecimal input to the system does not require a leading numeric digit
and cannot have a subscript H.
2. (CR) represents carriage Return.
3. (LF) represents Line Feed.
4. (UP) represents Upcaret (ASCII code 5EH).
5. (SP) represents Space bar.
6. (.) represents period.
7. Bracketed items [] in a command line are optional.
8. Items in a command line which must be entered exactly as they appear are
shown as upper case.
9. Items in a command line which are variables are shown as lower case.
10. Characters in a command line which are entered by the user are under-
lined.
