BUFFER
MODULE
The
Buffer
module
is
located
near
the
Target
system
and
contains
the
Target
Z810
microprocessor,
Target
adaptor
connector
and
interface
buffers.
cables
connect
the
Buffer
module
to
the
Control
and
History
modules
which
are
installed
in
the
development
system.
'I'he
Target
adapter
connector
is
attached
to
the
Buffer
module
with
eighteen
inches
of
flat
cable
and
plugs
directly
into
the
'rarget
Z810
CPU
socket.
There
are
five
test
sockets
available
on
the
edge
of
the
of
the
Buffer
module
with
the
following
signals.

The
signal
SHAM
is
an
active
high
signal
which becomes
active
when
the
I1nulation
RAM
is
accessed.
'rhis
si<.jnal may
be
used
to
reverse
the
direction
of
buffers
in
the
Target
system
so
that
RETI
(Return
from
Interupt)
instructions
executed
from
the
Einulation
RA!Vl
can
be
recognized
by
the
Target
system.
There
are
also
two
sets
of
nine
probes
designated
the
A and B which
plug
into
the
upper
left
corner
of
the
Buffer
module.
The
probes
are
color
coded
with
standard
EIA
color
codes
as
follows:
