• Selecting the Feature
On conventional channels, you must monitor the channel for
activity before making an individual call (see page 15 for details).
1a. Press until one of the
following softkeys appear on the
display:
for a Telephone Call
for a Private-Conversation
Call or a Selective Call
for a Call-Alert Page
2. Press directly below the desired softkey feature. For example, to
make a telephone call, press directly below .
3. The display changes to show the last telephone number dialed or the ID
number of the last call/page transmitted/received.

access” to a feature (consult
your service technician), press
the designated button for
either the Phone , Private
Call , Selective Call , or Call
Alert feature. This will take
you directly to step 3.
