Codeplug Configuration: Backlight Configuration 3-7
3.7 Backlight Configuration
The Light Button is another important control function that must be programmed to the same button
location in each radio. In a dual-radio system, the backlight function is only handled by the Primary
radio, so the programmable button location set to “Light” in the Primary radio’s codeplug will always
control the backlight function regardless of which radio is selected.
3.8 Siren and DEK Accessory Configuration
The Siren/PA option must be enabled in both radios in order for the Siren/PA to function correctly in
the Dual Radio System. If a DEK box is being used to control the Siren/PA, then both radios must
have the same DEK box button programming so that when a radio switch is made, the indicator and
button functions do not change.
