To enable or disable the SIM card End-to-End Encryption, choose one of the following ways:
If… Then…
If the One-Touch button is configured by
your service provider,
press the One-Touch button.
If you want to operate from the menu, perform the following actions:
a Press MenuCrypto MenuCrypto
Function.
b Select Encryption On to enable or En-
cryption Off to disable encryption.
Your radio displays prompts indicating your current encryption state: an appropriate status icon
and the Encryption On or Encryption Off message.

Enabling or Disabling CRYPTR Micro End-to-End Encryption
Prerequisites:
NOTICE: Your radio is either MicroSD card-enabled or SIM card-enabled. This feature is only
available for MicroSD card-enabled radio.
Ensure that the CRYPTR Micro card is inserted in the radio.
The radio is not in an active call.
You cannot press the PTT button.
See CRYPTR Micro End-to-End Encryption on page 121.
Procedure:
1 From the home screen, press MenuCrypto MenuCrypto Function.
2 Select Encryption On to enable or Encryption Off to disable encryption.
Your radio displays a status icon and the Encryption On or Encryption Off message to indicate
your current encryption state.
4.16.3
Setting Clear Call Alarm
When and where to use:The Clear Call Alarm menu is used to configure an alarm tone to notify on
any clear transmission.
Procedure:
1 From the home screen, press the Menu key.
2 From the home screen, press the Menu/OK key.
3 Select Crypto MenuClear Call Alarm.
4 Select Simplex Calls or Duplex Calls.
5 Select one of the following options:
