Templates
A template box stores user-defined message templates.
Each message in Inbox and Outbox can be stored as a template. The name of the template and the
text can be edited later.

Sending User-Defined Templates
Procedure:
1 From the home screen, press the Menu key.
2 From the home screen, press the Menu/OK key.
3 Select Messages→Templates.
4 Select the required template.
5 Press the Menu/OK key and select Send.
6 Press and hold the Menu/OK key and select a contact.
7 Send the message by pressing the Menu/OK key.
8 Highlight the required template name and press Send.
9 Perform one of the following actions:
If… Then…
If you want to send the message to a
talkgroup,
select the required talkgroup from the Talk-
Group List.
If you want to send the message to an
address in your contact list,
perform the following actions:
a Press abc.
b Select the name of the recipient.
If you want to send the message to a
contact or talkgroup that is not config-
ured in the radio,
perform the following actions:
a Enter the contact number.
b Press Send.

2 From the home screen, press the Menu/OK key.
3 Select Messages→Templates.
4 Select the required template.
5 Press the Menu/OK button and select Edit.
