Sending Messages to Private or Phone
Procedure:
1 From the home screen, press the Menu key.
2 From the home screen, press the Menu/OK key.
3 Select Messages→New Message.
4 Enter your message and press Send.
5 Enter your message.
6 Press and hold the Menu/OK key, and select Send.
7 Select Private/Phone.
8 Select Send to Private or Send to Phone.
9 Enter recipient number or press abc to choose it from your contacts.
NOTICE:
For Private target selection, you can enter either Individual Short Subscriber Identity
(ISSI), Individual TETRA Subscriber Identity (ITSI), or Group Short Subscriber Identity
(GSSI) of the recipient.
ISSI or ITSI is a unique and individual ID assigned to each radio.
GSSI in Dimetra is called Group ID or Talkgroup ID.
10 Perform one of the following options:
If… Then…
If the number of the recipient is dis-
played,
press and hold the Menu/OK button.
If the number of the recipient is not dis-
played,
perform the following actions:
a Press and hold the Menu/OK button.
b Select a contact from the contact list.
NOTICE: The radio displays
the number of the contact.
c Press and hold the Menu/OK button.
11 Perform one of the following options:
• Select Send.
• Press the Send key.
• Press the PTT button.

Procedure:
1 From the home screen, press the Menu key.
2 From the home screen, press the Menu/OK key.
3 Select Messages→New Message.
4 Type your message and press Send.
