6.6.1 Gradient setting by heating current (W)
For the MT-ST160W and MT-ST160W/RM device versions, set the tempera-
ture gradient by adjusting the heating current.
You can measure the heating current indirectly via the voltage drop on the
internal 0.1Ω resistor. Using the equation I = U/R, with R = 0.1Ω, the heat-
ing current I

is equal to the measured voltage V divided by the resistance
value 0.1Ω. The heating current can be adjusted by setting the potentiome-
ter P.
