15. Lift the shaft and Sector Gear out of the housing.
See Figure 10.31.
16. Slide the Sector Gear and washers off of the shaft.
17. The shaft can be separated by removing the roll
pins.
18. Remove the Pinion Gear.
To assemble a joystick:
NOTE: If working on a 2-way joystick, skip to step 5.
1. Install the cables, insuring that they are in the
proper holes.
NOTE: Forward movement of pitch control lever/
joystick should result in the Chute Deflector
moving down.
NOTE: If the cables are crossed, the pitch control
will work backwards.
2. Assemble the joystick shaft, using new roll pins.
3. Slide the sector gear onto the double-D section of
the shat so that the gear is in line with the handle
and the teeth are facing away from it. See Figure
10.33.
4. Slide the flat washer on to the shaft.
