Regarding PC Expanion
Host Computer
The computer which is connected to a PC Expanion, or a computer in
which the NCT-2000-XP program has been installed.
Station
A PC Expanion which is connected to a host computer, and is called a
station of the host computer.
WoIP (Windows over IP)
New network protocol that enables a PC to operate multi windows
simultaneously in virtual memory and the registered multi user can
access through TCP/IP by using a PC Expanion. This technology does
not require a high priced server and supports the multi user access via a
terminal.
UTMA(UltraThinMultiAccess) Multi-User Terminal
UTMA (Ultra Thin Multi Access) Multi User Terminal is a network
computing terminal using NComputing patent technology. It doesn't
use CPU, VGA, or main chipsets, simply a programmable SoC to connect
to the host PC. A terminal using UTMA technology can be connected to
a host PC by using a LAN cable. It can also be connected to a remote PC
via the Internet using TCP/IP.
User account
A user in a computing context is one who uses a computer system. Users
may need to identify themselves for the purposes of accounting, security,
logging and resource management. In order to identify oneself, a user
has an account (a user account) and a username, and in most cases also a
password (see below). Users employ the user interface to access systems,
and the process of identification is often referred to as log in.
Administrator
A system administrator is a person who is responsible for managing a
multi-user computing environment, such as a local area network (LAN).
The responsibilities of the system administrator typically include:
installing and configuring system hardware and software; establishing
and managing user accounts; upgrading software; and backup and
recovery tasks.
Alias
An alias is a fictitious name used by an individual as an alternative to his
or her true name.
