STEP 17:The display goes back to the Backup/Re-
store screen. Select Data Backup.
Select an item by either of the following operations.
Highlight an item by using or the UP/DOWN soft
key, and then press , or the OK soft key.
Press key.
STEP 18:The default file name is displayed as follows:
Press the Enc soft key to download the encrypted
backup file.
The encrypted backup file name is displayed as
“PersonalData.tgz.ef”.
STEP 19:Press or the Exec soft key to start the
data backup. While making a backup copy,
the LCD displays “Uploading...” first and then
“Saving...”.
Note:
Do not change the extension of the backup file.
The setting data of the telephone can only be
backed up as a.tgz file.
Note:
When changing the default file name, press the
BK soft key once to delete the default file name
and then enter a new file name by using the digits
keys.

A maximum of 20 characters (“0-9”, “A-Z”, “a-z”,
“*”, “#”, “.”, “-” or “_”) can be entered as a file
name.

To delete an entered character, press the BK soft
key.
Note:
If you make the unencrypted file, press the
NoEnc soft key.
Note:
Be sure not to turn OFF the DT830 Series while
“Saving...” is displayed on the LCD.
