Vacuum Motor Brushes
1. Remove the Vacuum Motor described on page 212.
2. Remove the two screws (A) that secure the motor cover
to the motor, and remove the cover.
3. Remove the two screws (C) that secure the
contact strap (D), and remove the strap.
Take care to not bend the wire any more
than necessary.
4. Lift the outer end of the brush (E) up, and
slide the brush out of the motor housing.
5. Repeat for the second brush.

6. When installing a new brush, tilt the brush
assembly downward at the front so the carbon
bar contacts the commutator bars, and then
compress the spring to fully insert the brush.
