Tuning the
wavelength
The relationship between temperature and the fiber laser’s wavelength is stored
in the laser’s memory module. To tune the laser thermally, an offset wavelength
of the nominal wavelength must be written into register 0x2A of the memory
module.

Setting the
operating mode
To set the operating mode modify bit 9 of register 0x31. When the bit is set to ‘0’
Power mode is selected and when set to ‘1’, Current mode is selected.“Setting the
operating mode” on page 74 shows the bit set to 0 meaning the laser is set to
Power mode.

Auto start The Auto-start function is controlled by bit 11 of register 0x31 to enable/disable
the Auto-start function, where ‘0’ sets autostart to disabled and 1 sets auto-start
to enabled’.
