Vector and Vectrino: Note the amplitude at the beginning of the sam pling volume (A), the nice gaussian
peak that indicates the sampling volume (B) and the peak corresponding to the bottom (C). Also note that
the signal strength decrease to the noise floor betw een the measurement volum e and the bottom, and
that all colored graphs show roughly the same amplitude and profile shape.
The probe check output in the figure below is from the Vectrino Profiler. The four colored graphs in
the profile display correspond to each of the four receive beams. The broad peal centered at 5 cm is
the valid profiling volume.
Vectrino Profiler: Note that the signal strength is presented in dB and not counts. As above, you should
see a broad peak centered around ~5 cm the profiling volum e. Each colored graph correspond to the
each of the four beams. No bottom return are visible in this case.
