Error Codes 381 and 638
A paper jam has occurred under an image drum.
1 Insert your nger into the recess on
the right side of the printer and pull the
front cover open lever (1) to open the
front cover (2) forward.
Note
● Open the front cover gently. If you open it rapidly,
the MP Tray may open.

2 Open the top cover (3).

3 Remove the print cartridge (4) and place
them on a at surface.

4 Cover the removed print cartridge (4)
with paper so that it will not be exposed
to light.

5 Pull out the jammed paper gently toward
the inside of the printer (in the direction
of the arrow) if an edge of jammed
paper can be seen on the back side of
the registration guide (5).
