THE
ADF
From time to time the pad assembly and feed rollers may become
contaminated with ink, toner particles or paper dust. In this case
the scan module may not feed documents smoothly. If this
occurs, follow the cleaning procedure below.
1. Moisten a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol (95%).
2. Carefully pull open the ADF front cover.

3. Wipe the feed roller (1) by moving the swab from side to
side.

4. Rotate the roller forward with your finger and repeat step
3 until the roller is clean. Be careful not to snag or
damage the springs near the pad (2).
5. Wipe the pad (2) from top to bottom, being careful not to
hook the springs.
6. Close the ADF front cover.
