1. Open the document cover.
2. Move scan lock lever to UNLOCKED position.

1. Start Microsoft Windows.
2. Insert the CD-ROM supplied into your CD ROM drive.
3. The CD-ROM will auto launch on most systems. However,
if your system does not support auto launching CD-ROMs,
press the Start button, choose RUN, type d:\setup.exe (d:
the CD-ROM drive in use), and then click OK.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the driver
installation.
CAUTION!
Make sure the scanner is in the UNLOCKED position
before operating.
CAUTION!
To ensure the scan function works properly, install
the TWAIN driver FIRST then the printer driver,
before connecting to the computer.
