(b) Life
5 years or 1,500,000 pages, whichever is earlier. This specification life is given for
C911/C931/C941/Pro9541WT printers that produce the following AMPVs under the use
factors specified in section 3.8, (2), (c).
AMPV
*
Life
Average: 25K pages min: 5 years (5% duty)
Maximum: 300K pages 5 months (5% duty)
*
AMPV= Average monthly print volume
(c) Printer Use Factors
(1) Monochrome vs. Color
Monochrome: 50% of printing
Full color (K, M, C, Y, W or CL): 50% of printing
(2) Area Coverages
The area coverages used for defining the lives of C911/C931/C941/Pro9541WT,
its consumables and its replaceable units are as follows:
Monochrome: 5%
Full-color black: 5%
cyan: 5%
magenta: 5%
yellow: 5%
White: 5%
Clear: 5%
(d) MPBF (Mean Pages between Failures)
The maintenance interval of C911/C931/C941/Pro9541WT is determined according to its
component failure and print quality defects (nonconformity with its print quality specifications).
Table 17 shows the MPBF of the printer. The printer’s power-on hours and use factors for
the MPBF are as specified in the above sections a) and c).

Definitions of Terms:
MPBF: Mean pages between failures (A4).
AMPV: An average monthly print volume.
(e) MTTR (Mean Time to Repair)
The MTTR of C911/C931/C941/Pro9541WT is within 20 minutes. The necessary
maintenance of the printer is all completed using appropriate tools and procedures.
(3) Paper Jam Rates
The “paper jam rates” of C911/C931/C941/Pro9541WT means the malfunction rates at which the
printer’s pauses occur, causing the printer’s normal printing operation to pause. Such pauses
do not include those pauses of the printer which are made via the operator panel of the printer,
by host computers, or due to running out of paper on the printer. When the printer operates
using the following paper under the specification environment conditions, the average pause
rates of the printer do not exceed the values shown below.
(a) Plain-paper feeding from Auto Feeder Trays
The paper jam rates shown in table 14 apply to the standard and optional auto feeder trays of
