• The computer may not be
enabled for USB operation.
• In the Windows
environment:
1Click Start > Settings >
Control Panel.
2 Double click on the System
icon.
3Click on the Device
Manager or Hardware tab,
then click on the Device
Manager button.
4 Click the Plus (+) sign next to
the USB (Universal Serial Bus)
Controller option.
– If USB host controller and
USB root hub are present,
the USB is enabled.
– If they are not present,
read your computer
manual for information
on how to enable a USB
connection.
• In the Macintosh
environment:
– From the control panel,
check the characteristics
of the system and the
presence of an active and
functioning USB
connection.
– Re-install the USB drivers
for Macintosh consulting
the system
manufacturer's
documentation provided.
