Copying/Scanning Problems
Meaning of LEDs on the front panel
The power-on button, which is used to switch the printer ON and OFF, may also flash to indicate printer
status:
• If this flashes during printing, this indicates sending or reception of data by the computer
• If this flashes and a flashing "E" is shown on the LCD display, this indicates an error condition.
Possible causes of error are listed below and may be displayed in detail using the "Status Monitor"
application available on the status bar or in the list of programs in the Olivetti folder.
Horizontal streaks are printed. • The ink cartridges are dirty. • Clean the ink cartridges. See
"Cleaning the Ink Cartridge
Nozzles".
The printed characters are not
properly defined.
• The ink cartridges are no
longer aligned.
• Align the ink cartridges from
your computer. See
"Aligning the Ink Cartridges
From the Toolbox".

The printer or scanner makes
unusual noises during operation.
• Turn off the printer and then
turn it back on again by
pressing the On/Off button.
Horizontal streaks are printed. • The ink cartridges are dirty. • Clean the ink cartridges. See

A completely black copy is
output.
• Faulty Contact Image Sensor. • Contact the field engineering
service.
