3 Pre-observation/pre-operation preparation and inspection
Attaching the tripod
To use a tripod during observation, attach it to the tripod mounting hole on the main unit.
CAUTION
To prevent the instrument from falling and causing injury and damage, attach the instrument securely on
the tripod.
Adjusting the hand strap
Pull off the tape portion to adjust the length of the hand strap.
CAUTION
After adjusting, attach the tape portion securely such that the hand strap does not come off.
Securing the insertion tube to move the instrument to another
location
When moving the instrument to a different location for observation, pass the insertion tube through
the hand strap, wind it, and insert the tip into the holder of the insertion tube. Carry the instrument
by holding the insertion tube at the strap.
Stow the instrument in its carrying case when moving or transporting it over long distances.
CAUTION
Never dangle the instrument from the insertion tube to moving it.
