4 Basic operation
Recording a movie image
1 Long-press the [FRZ/REC] button on the main unit again while the live image is
displayed.
After a still image is recorded, a movie confirmation screen appears.
2 Touch [YES].
This starts movie image recording. A movie recording indicator flashes on the LCD monitor
while movie recording is in progress. If you select [NO] in movie confirmation screen, only the
still image is recorded but the moving image is not recorded.
3 To stop movie recording, short-press the [FRZ/REC] button on the main unit.
The flashing movie recording indicator disappears from the screen when movie recording is
complete.
NOTE
• Never attempt to insert or remove an SD card while movie recording is in progress. Doing so will cause
movie recording to stop and an error message to appear on the display.
• Movie recording ends automatically when the SD card has run out of free space, when the file reaches a
size of 4 GB, or when the recording time has reached 120 minutes.
• While movie recording is in progress, touching the [VIEW] button ends the recording, displays the view
screen, and starts playback of the recorded movie. Touching the [THUMBNAIL] button ends movie
recording and displays the thumbnail screen.
