5.3 Turning the light source ON and igniting the examination lamp

WARNING
When turning ON the light source, never allow the distal end of an endoscope or a
light guide cable to come in contact with the patient and/or other flammable
materials, such as operating room drapes. Patient injury and/or a fire can result.
NOTE
The factory default setting is manual ignition.
When the light source is connected to the light source, either of them can be turned
ON first.
5.3 Turning the light source ON and igniting the
examination lamp
1 Confirm that the endoscope connector, light guide connector, or light guide is
connected to the output socket of the light source.
2 Press the power switch of the light source. If the automatic ignition is selected, the
light source is turned ON and the power indicator lights up. Also, the examination
lamp lights up. If the manual ignition is selected, the light source is turned ON and the
power indicator lights up. Also, pressing the lamp button on the control panel turns
ON the examination lamp and the lamp indicator “ON” lights up.
