5-3-9 Attaching and Removing Option Boards
The following describes how to attach and remove Option Boards to and from the CPU Unit.
Precautions for Safe Use
Turn OFF the Controller’s power supply before you attach or remove an Option Board.
Not doing so may cause unintended operation of the CPU Unit or Option Board.
When you attach an Option Board, you need to remove the cover of any Option Board slot on the CPU
Unit. Hold the upper and lower lock levers of the cover between the fingertips at the same time to
unlock and remove it. Align the notch of the Option Board with that of the Option Board slot and press
the Option Board into the slot until it clicks.
When you remove the Option Board, hold the lock levers of the Option Board between the fingertips
and pull it straight out. After removal, reinstall the cover on the CPU Unit.
