Note
Synchronizing a mobile device enables
users to display applications that support
the mobile device Android Auto or Apple
CarPlay® technology on the vehicle’s
screen. For Apple CarPlay® technology,
the Apple CarPlay® function must first
be activated on the mobile device. In
all cases, the mobile device must be
unlocked, to enable the communication
process between the mobile device and
the system to function (at first connection
only). As principles and standards are
constantly changing, we recommend
keeping the mobile device operating
system up-to-date, together with the date
and time on the smartphone and the
system.
Refer to your mobile device for Android
Auto or Apple CarPlay® settings.

Warning
Stop the vehicle before connecting
Android Auto or Apple®CarPlay® and
follow the instructions on your mobile
device.
Note
On connecting the USB cable, the
Android Auto or Apple CarPlay® function
deactivates the system's Bluetooth®
mode.
Caution
It is recommended to use the original
USB cable of the mobile device.
To protect the system, do not use a
USB hub.
MIRROR SCREEN®
Apple CarPlay® connection
Note
The Apple CarPlay® function requires
the use of a compatible mobile device
and compatible applications.
Connecting Apple CarPlay® mobile
device can be carried out either by
an USB cable or using a wireless
connection.
USB Connection
Note
Only one USB port enables
the Mirror Screen® connection by
Apple®CarPlay®. For more information
on USB port, refer to the corresponding
section. ð page 58
Connect the USB cable.
The mobile device charges when
connected by an USB cable.
Activate the Bluetooth® function on
the smartphone.
From the Home page, press and then
activate the Bluetooth® function.
As soon as a Bluetooth® device offering
Apple CarPlay® is connected, Apple
CarPlay® is automatically available,
provided a wide-band communication
channel (USB) is connected.
From the Home page, press
to
display the Apple CarPlay® interface.
Note
When the USB cable is disconnected
and the ignition is switched off and then
back on, the system will not automatically
switch to other mode; the source must be
changed manually.
