Installation 5
5.1 Placement conditions for the
emitter/receiver
1. Make sure that there is enough space for the emitter/receiver.
2. The emitter/receiver must be mounted horizontally. The maximum angle is 15°.
3. The emitter and the receiver must be mounted with a clear line of sight between
them.
4. The foundation for the emitter and the receiver must be carefully choosen. Move-
ments and instability causes loss of light.
5. The RE060AUTOL receiver is delivered with support rods as standard (option: sup-
port bracket).
6. Power 240/115 V for the receiver must be supplied.
7. The shelf or other place of attachment for the power supply unit should be located
1.5 meters (5 feet), maximum, from the receiver..
8. The PW061 cassettes on the emitter and receiver require purge air. The air must be
classed as instrument air, clean and free from oil and water. A flow regulator must
be connected to the purge air for each path.
• Purge air connection 1 ½” pipe inserts: minimum 1 scfm.
• Purge air connection 2” pipe: minimum 2 scfm.
• Purge air connection 2 ½” pipe: minimum 3 scfm.
• Minimum 0.5 bar over pressure relative to the gas duct.
• The purge air is introduced via a 6 mm alternative ¼” tubing.
• The connections for the purge air is a 6 mm alternative l/4” “Swagelock”.
9. To prevent dust from entering the emitter/receiver box and prevent moisture from
condensation on the mirrors, (moisture on the mirrors will shortening the life time),
emitter and receiver houses should be ventilated with purge air as well.
