Light adjustment kit LA060 6
The LA060 contains a red laser source which is used for alignment and optimization of the
light path. A short blue fiber is used with the LA060. This fiber has a larger diameter than
the yellow fiber, which allows higher inensity through the fiber.
When the emitter and receiver have been installed, the LA060 is connected with the yel-
low laser fiber from the receiver, and will in this mode receive light level data from the re-
ceiver that is displayed on the LA060. The LA060 is a handheld unit including a visible
light source, a light detector and an 1.5 m optical fibre. There are three ways to operate the
LA060:
1. Use it to visually align the transmitter and receiver.
2. Use the ordinary measuring fibre to transfer light level information from the LD500
into the LA060 display. This simplifies light alignment (at the transmitter site) for
long measuring paths.
3. Measure light throughput to ensure status of fibre or light transmitter.
