4) STEPPER MOTOR
This motor moves the peristaltic pump head to allow I/A cassette
installation/removal and activate Venturi pump installation.
5) PERISTALTIC PUMP MOTOR
The peristaltic pump DC motor and gearbox is directly connected to the
pump rotor.
6) STEPPER MOTOR DRIVER
Microprocessor board that controls the stepper motor (4) for pump head
movement.
7) REFLUX VALVE
When the plunger of this soleneoid valve retracts, the aspiration line is put in
communication with the irrigation line from the drip chamber. This allows
automated venting of vacuum when switch #2 of the footswitch is released
and reflux (reversing direction of fluids in the aspiration line) with fresh BSS
immission.
8) IRRIGATION VALVE
When the plunger of this soleneoid valve retracts, the line from the BSS
bottle is put in communication with the irrigation line to the handpiece.
9) IRRIGATION VALVE CONTROL CIRCUIT
This circuit drives the solenoid valve for irrigation by supplying an higher
voltage for approx 500 µs when the valve closes; then the voltage drops to
the minimal value of the valve, to maintain the closed position.
