Switch on the lamp by touching the “Light” soft key on the Assistant GUI. The
HID lamp s should switch on immediately and it should reach its maximum
intensity within 10 to 15 seconds.
CAUTION! A very high voltage (20Kv) is delivered to the lamp at power on for
ignition: do not touch inner cable and wiring while switching the lamp on. Do
not power on the light if the illumination module wiring is disconnected.
CAUTION! The HID lamps of the Assistant contain gas at a very high
pressure. They may explode causing serious injuries to the eyes: Wear
protective goggles during bulb replacement and calibration. Handle with
extreme care. Do not touch the glass of the bulbs with fingers as stains and
grease may cause lamp explosion.

OPTICAL ALIGNMENT
1. Select 100% intensity on the Assistant GUI.
2. Insert the Fiber Optic (FO) plug in any of the two outputs of the
two ways adapter.
3. Position the fiber optic in front of the lux meter sensor, in a such
way to collect all the light output; select a 300,000 lux scale on
the meter.
4. Loose the two horizontal adjust set screws (4 / 4a in the figures ).
5. Switch the light on and wait at least 30 seconds for light
stabilization.
6. Rotate the vertical adjust set screw (3/3a in the figure ) to read
maximum light intensity.
7. Adjust the horizontal set screws (4 / 4a in the figure) (the rear one
to move the lamp in and the other one to move it out) in order to
have approximately the same intensity reading on both the
outputs of the two ways adapter (275,000 lux or more).
8. Block the lamp movement.
9. Loose the Allen screw (2/2a), remove the fiber optic from the lux
meter sensor and project the light beam on a white surface at
approximately 15cm. from the edge of the fiber optic.
10. Slightly move back or forth the fiber optic connector (1/1a) to
obtain a white spot of even illumination.
11. Tight the Allen screw (2/2a)
