the pressure gauge.
TANK FULL ALARM CALIBRATION
The tank full alarm is calibrated by adjusting the position of the optical sensor
reading the fluids level in the Disposable Cassette Tank. To calibrate the
sensor:
By using the modified level test cassette, check that the empty and full tank
conditions are properly recognized.
PERISTALTIC PUMP FLOW CALIBRATION
1. Using the Up/Down arrows in the “Peristaltic Pump Settings” window,
set Flow Max = 50 cc/min (the pump turns at its maximum speed).
2. Using the relevant kit, measure the real Flow Max of the peristaltic
pump.
3.
Set Flow Max = Measured Flow Max. The Flow Max value can be
adjusted in steps of 2 cc/min. In case the value of the Measured Flow
Max is an odd figure, set the Flow Max to the even figure which is
immediately inferior in value.
BUILDING THE LOOK-UP TABLE FOR THE VENTURI PUMP
Using the relevant kit, connect the silicone tubing coming from the cassette to
the vacuum sensor. In the “Mode” window, select Lookup table. Wait until
the procedure is completed and the unit returns to normal working mode (I/A).
To exit the System Calibration Software, restart the system by switching
the ASSISTANT off and then back on.
7.6 SYSTEM TESTS AND CALIBRATIONS
The tests and calibrations below are performed while in standard mode
(standard user software).
1. AIR TAMPONADE Select Vitrectomy and depress “Tamponade”.
Connect a low pressure gauge (i.e. a mercury column gauge) to the
AIR connector on the front panel. Enable the air injection (depress the
Air button in the GUI), Set the injection pressure from 10mmHg to
