The user can then slide onto the wheelchair’s seat from the
side. Use of a transfer board will make this even easier.
6.2.2 FromtheFront
Flipping up the two footplates makes it possible for the user
to get into and out of the wheelchair from the front (g. 12).
The space for getting into/out of the wheelchair can be in-
creased by swinging the footrests to the side (g. 13).
The assistance of an attendant or a transfer lifter make it
easy for the user to get into or out of the power wheelchair.
Use of a rotation plate is also possible.
