When the power supply is cut o (The breaker has operated, or the power
plug is removed.)
z Turn o the faucet if the power is cut o while the Alkaline Ionizer is being used.
z Puried water comes out during power outage whichever type of water is selected. “Puried” is selected
after recovery.
z Before using the product for the rst time after recovery, check the settings such as type of water. The
settings on page EN32 as well as the guideline until the next cartridge replacement are stored.
When the water supply is cut o
z The Alkaline Ionizer cannot be used. If the water is cut o during use, turn o the faucet.
z When the water supply is restored, set the bypass selector to
or , and rst run unpuried water (tap
water) into the sink to remove the air and turbid water inside the pipes. The Alkaline Ionizer may then be
used again as usual. (This is to prevent the cartridge life from being signicantly shortened.)
When not used for approx. 1 week or longer
z Remove the cartridge (P. EN30), and store it sealed in a vinyl bag in a refrigerator.
y Remove air from the bag,
and close the opening.
When not used for approx. 1 month or longer
z Follow the above steps, and remove the power plug.
Note
z Storing the cartridge for a prolonged period may alter the quality of the water within the cartridge, so
replacing the cartridge is recommended. When water smells or tastes strange, press the Acidic button,
and run acidic water for approx. 15 seconds.
To use this unit again
Install the cartridge (P. EN30)
Connect the power plug
Run water for approx. 3 minutes, and check before using that there is no water leak or no
abnormality in operation and display
