• Running water continuously may cause malfunction. Also the
water cannot be electrolyzed correctly.
Sound and buzzer
A buzzer does not
beep while acidic
water is used
z Has the buzzer been muted? (P. EN32)
Odor, taste, turbidness, and change in color
The water produced by
the Alkaline Ionizer has
an odor or unpleasant
taste or is turbid
z Purication performance of the cartridge is deteriorated.
→ Replace the cartridge. (P. EN30)
z If an odor occurs within 2 to 3 months after the cartridge is replaced,
the water discharge line or waste water line may be soiled.
→ Press the Acidic Water button, and run acidic water for approx. 15
seconds.
The smell at the
beginning of use of
water concerns me
z Since water is accumulated inside the main unit for 10 minutes after
Alkaline 1 to 3 and Puried are used, there are rare cases where
some people are sensitive to the smell of the main unit.
→ If the smell concerns you, after a buzzer beeps, run water for a while
before using.
The acidic water has
an odor
z Electrolysis causes the chlorine ions in the water to collect in
acidic water, forming hypochlorous acid.
→ There is no problem if you use it as is.
White oating matter
is mixed with the
alkaline ion water
z White oating matter is calcium deposited inside the main unit.
z Foam-like oating matter is the air inside the main unit or
hydrogen foam generated during electrolysis.
(There is no problem if you use it as is.)
• This foam tends to be much generated after installation or
cartridge replacement.
• In the case of acidic water, oxygen foam is generated.
Alkaline ion water or
puried water looks
shiny
z This occurs when components (mainly minerals) dissolved in the
water oat.
→ There is no problem if you use it as is. But if it bothers you, use
alkaline ion water at a lower pH level.
