4. Recording Videos - Recording Settings For Video
In this document, videos are indicated as follows according to their resolution:
6K (5952x3968) video: 6K video
5.9K (5888x3312) video: 5.9K video
5.4K (5376x3584) video: 5.4K video
4K-A (3328x2496) video: Anamorphic (4:3) video
C4K (4096x2160) video: C4K video
4K (3840x2160) video: 4K video
Full High Definition (1920x1080) video: FHD video
Since the camera employs the VBR recording format, the bit rate is changed automatically depending on the subject to
record. As a result, video recording time is shortened when a fast-moving subject is recorded.
Videos in ALL-Intra and 4:2:2/10-bit formats are intended for editing on a PC used for video production.
When using Super 35 mm/APS-C lenses, 6K, 5.9K, and 5.4K [Rec Quality] cannot be set.
When using the following function, you can only select 8-bit FHD video:
– [Filter Settings]: [Miniature Effect]
[Rec Quality] and [Rec Quality (My List)] are not available when using the following function:
Streaming function
You can register a combination of [System Frequency], [Rec. File Format], [Image Area of Video], and [Rec Quality] to
My List. (

Size Interval for Dividing Files
FHD (MP4)
A new file will be created to continue recording if the continuous recording time exceeds 30 minutes or the file size
exceeds 4 GB.
4K (MP4) / MOV
When using an SDHC memory card:
A new file will be created to continue recording if the continuous recording time exceeds 30 minutes or the file size
exceeds 4 GB.
When using an SDXC memory card:
A new file will be created to continue recording if the continuous recording time exceeds 3 hours and 4 minutes or the
file size exceeds 96 GB.
