Performing simplied setting using the internal test pattern
Set the parameters for [FOCUS OFFSET BRIGHT] and [FOCUS OFFSET DARK] using the test pattern built in
the projector following the guidance of [SETUP ASSISTANT].
1) Press as to select [LENS].
2) Press the <ENTER> button.
f The [LENS] screen is displayed.
3) Press as to select [ACTIVE FOCUS OPTIMIZER].
4) Press the <ENTER> button.
f The [ACTIVE FOCUS OPTIMIZER] screen is displayed.
5) Press as to select [FOCUS OFFSET SETUP].
6) Press the <ENTER> button.
f The [FOCUS OFFSET SETUP] screen is displayed.
7) Press as to select [SETUP ASSISTANT].
8) Press the <ENTER> button.
f If the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu → [LIGHT OUTPUT] is set to [100.0%], the internal focus test pattern of
signal level approximately 50 % is projected, and the [SETUP ASSISTANT] screen (page 1/8) is displayed.
Proceed to Step 10).
f If the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu → [LIGHT OUTPUT] is set to less than [100.0%], the conrmation
screen is displayed. Proceed to Step 9).
9) Press qw to select [NEXT], and press the <ENTER> button.
f Even if [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu → [LIGHT OUTPUT] is set to less than [100.0%], the projector will
operate with the [100.0%] setting while [SETUP ASSISTANT] is executing. Once [SETUP ASSISTANT] is
completed, it will return to the original [LIGHT OUTPUT] setting value.
f After conrming the conrmation message, press qw to select [NEXT], and press the <ENTER>
button. The internal focus test pattern of signal level approximately 50 % is projected, and the [SETUP
ASSISTANT] screen (page 1/8) is displayed.
f To cancel the setting by [SETUP ASSISTANT], press qw to select [CANCEL], and press the <ENTER>
button. [SETUP ASSISTANT] is canceled, and the [FOCUS OFFSET SETUP] screen is displayed.
10) Wait until [Waiting time] turns [0s].
f Wait until the focus is stabilized.
f When the [Waiting time] turns [0s], the [Please wait...] message disappears, and [NEXT] becomes
selectable.
11) Press qw to select [NEXT], and press the <ENTER> button.
f The [SETUP ASSISTANT] screen (page 2/8) is displayed.
f It will return to previous screen by selecting [BACK] and pressing the <ENTER> button.
12) Press asqw to select [FOCUS POSITION].
13) Press the qw button to adjust the focus.
14) Press asqw to select [NEXT], and press the <ENTER> button.
f The [SETUP ASSISTANT] screen (page 3/8) is displayed.
15) Press asqw to select [TEST PATTERN].
16) Press qw to select [INTERNAL].
f The items will switch each time you press the button.
[INTERNAL] Uses the internal focus test pattern of signal level approximately 100 % for focus adjustment.
[EXTERNAL] Select this item when using the input image from an external device for focus adjustment.
17) Press asqw to select [NEXT], and press the <ENTER> button.
f The [SETUP ASSISTANT] screen (page 4/8) is displayed.
