Basic operations
Playing discs
7 Press [1] (play).
Play will begin.
To start play from another disc, press [DISC 1]–[DISC 5].
8 Adjust the volume.
When you finish listening
Be sure to reduce the volume and press [POWER, ê/I] to switch the
receiver to standby.
Auto power-off
The changer switches to standby after about 30 minutes in the stop
mode.
To stop play
Press [º] (á page 26, Resume).
To pause play
Press [;] during play.
Press [1] (play) to resume play.
If “/” appears on the television
The operation is prohibited by the changer or disc.

Changer’s display
Disc in play position
Convenient settings
There are various settings on the receiver and changer that you
can change to make your viewing experience more enjoyable.
Things you can change include:
³Languages used for changer and disc menus, soundtracks,
and subtitles.
³Television aspect (regular 4:3 or widescreen 16:9).
³Dynamic range compression.
Refer to pages 41 to 47 for details on these and other settings.
³DISC 1–5 indicators
Off: no disc
Orange: DVD
Green: CD and Video CD, or the changer is yet to determine the
content of the tray.
To prevent damage
Do not:
³Load more than one disc per tray.
³Touch the drawer or carousel while they are in motion.
³Rotate the carousel by hand.
³Close the drawer by hand.
º Changing the disc in the play position
Press [DISC EXCHANGE].
The drawer opens and the tray containing the disc that was in the
play position comes to the front-left.
Change the disc.
! Press [DISC EXCHANGE].
The drawer closes and the new disc starts playing.
º Changing discs during play
Press [OPEN/CLOSE <] to open the drawer
Play continues uninterrupted.
Press [DISC SKIP] to rotate the carousel.
The carousel rotates one tray clockwise. Each subsequent press
rotates the carousel two trays first counterclockwise then
clockwise.
! Change the discs and press [OPEN/CLOSE <]
to close the drawer.
