5. Turn off and lock out the main air supply valve prior to working on any
pneumatic systems.
Important:
This machine is equipped with a pneumatic energy isolating valve
in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.147.
a. Follow your company's lock out/tag out procedures.
6. Allow only one person at a time to adjust the machine.
7. Never reach into the machine while it is running.
8. Ensure all personnel are clear of the machine when starting.
9. Always observe all safety warn ing no tices posted in the plant, in this
man ual, or on the ma chine.
10. Keep the operator area clean and clear of debris such as discarded cartons or
trash.
11. Troubleshoot and correct any malfunctions immediately.
a. Call Pearson Packaging Systems Service at 800-732-7766 with any
questions.
12. Do not wear loose clothing, neckties, jewelry, or other items that can be
caught in moving parts or mechanisms in the machine.
13. Never remove, alter, disconnect, or otherwise interfere with guard in ter lock
switches.
14. Never blow com pressed air to ward any per son.
a. It is rec om mended to use pro tec tive eyewear when us ing com pressed
air.
15. Keep hands away from air cylinders.
16. Do not improvise repairs.
