Table 10.1: Blocking Error Codes (automatic reset):
“E”
CODE
Error Display Error Description Corrective Actions
E01
SUPPLY SENSOR
NOT CONNECTED
Supply sensor circuit is open.
1. Be sure sensor is plugged in.
2. Check continuity in both harness leads.
3. Temporarily connect the harness to another sensor to determine
if the error is cleared. If so, this indicates a defective sensor.
4. Read the sensor temperature values in the “User Menu” under
“Status”. 14°F indicates an open circuit.
Note: The component with the red connector is the high limit switch
not a sensor.
E02
RETURN SENSOR
NOT CONNECTED
Return sensor circuit is open.
E04
DHW SENSOR
NOT CONNECTED
DHW sensor circuit is open.
E05 STACK SENSOR OPEN Stack sensor circuit is open.
Check the sensor as above, the value in the “User Menu” under
“Status” is 50°F.
E11 SUPPLY SENSOR SHORT Supply sensor is short circuited.
1. Check wires for signs of damage.
2. Temporarily connect the harness to another sensor.
3. The value for a shorted sensor in the “User Menu” under
“Status” is 244°F.
E12 RETURN SENSOR SHORT Return sensor is short circuited.
E13 STACK SENSOR SHORT Stack sensor is short circuited.
E14 DHW SENSOR SHORT DHW sensor is short circuited.
E19
COMMUNICATION ERROR
E2PROM ERROR
Software Error with boiler
control.
1. Disconnect all external wires except for the 120 VAC control
power.
2. If problem ceases, systematically replace wires to determine the
location of the problem.
3. If problem persists, replace control.
E20 FALSE FLAME DETECTED Unexpected flame detected.
1. Verify that no flame is present.
2. Check and clean flame sensor.
3. Check boiler ground.
E21 HOT/NEUTRAL REVERSED
Polarity of power supply wires is
reversed.
1. Reverse polarity of power supply wires.
2. Check boiler ground.
E22 POOR GROUND
No earth ground connected or
internal hardware error.
1. Check boiler ground.
2. Check incoming frequency (If power supply is from a generator,
check incoming frequency.)
E23 NET FREQUENCY ERROR
Frequency of incoming power is
below 40 hertz or above 70
hertz.
1. If power supply is from a generator, check that the system is
Phase/Neutral and check frequency. If frequency is out of range
adjust the generator motor speed to correct it.
2. Check boiler ground.
E24 POOR GROUND
No earth ground connected or
internal hardware error.
1. Check boiler ground.
2. Check incoming frequency (If power supply is from a generator,
check incoming frequency.)
