5.5.4 CO
2
stabilization time
You can change the duration of the electrolysis time with the arrow buttons. When you press
“Enter”, the cursor jumps to the following digit; if you press “Enter” again, you return to the “CO
2
formula/ Prod.Def.” menu.
The standard stabilization time of 21 seconds is suitable for most beers and soft drinks.
You can check whether the stabilization time setting is sufficiently long to achieve the
equalization pressure as follows:
Take a measurement with the current settings and observe the pressure changes during the
measurement at the bottom of the screen (see section 6.1 Figs. 6.2 and 6.3).
If the pressure does not remain stable until the end of the CO
2
stabilization time (see the
progress bar), the CO
2
stabilization time setting is too short.
In this case, extend the stabilization time to the point at which the pressure does become
stable.
If the equalization pressure becomes stable too soon, the CO
2
stabilization time can be
decreased to save time. In this case, make sure that the equalization pressure is still reached
after the CO
2
stabilization time has been decreased.
5.5.5 *O
2
sample time
The time interval of the O
2
measurement and the logging of the measurements in the memory
can be set for a continuous O
2
measurement.
The default O
2
sampling time is 10 seconds and the adjustment range is 10 through 999
seconds.
The measured O
2
values are logged on a PC by means of the software program using the same
interval.
5.5.6 *TPO package data
If you wish to use the c-DGM to measure the TPO content of a package, you must first set a
number of package data. You can set a headspace volume value and a package volume value
for each of the 10 products separately. The default values are:
- Headspace volume (V
hs
) : 12 ml (the average volume of the headspace)
- Package volume (V
p
) : 315 ml (the total volume of an empty package)
Select the option “TPO package data” in the “Formula/Prod.def” menu to set the package data.
You can then use the arrow buttons to choose between “V
hs
” and “V
p
”. You can adjust the
desired value by pressing “Enter”. The headspace volume has a maximum value of 999 ml and
the package volume has a maximum value of 9,999 ml. The value for “V
p
” must at all times be
greater than “V
hs
”.
If the values are set as desired, you can return to the "Formula/Prod.def." by means of the
"previous menu". The new values are only saved when “save product” is selected here.
