6. Operation
6.1 General
The c-DGM has 6 different measuring programs to choose from:
- Combined CO
2
and O
2
measurement
- CO
2
measurement
- O
2
measurement
- Continuous O
2
measurement
- Combined CO
2
and TPO measurement
- TPO measurement
The desired program can be selected in the “Measurement choice” menu (see 6.2).
The “Measurement choice” menu does not exist on the i-DGM; only CO
2
measurement is
possible according to section 6.2.2.
Before the first measurement, the instrument must be flushed with approximately one liter of liquid;
for later measurements a half liter is sufficient (depending on the pressure on the DGM, it takes
approximately 20 seconds before the measurement chamber is filled with a new sample).
Before connecting the DGM to the sampling point, you must
make sure the instrument cannot fall over during the
measurement.
Close the tap on the tank or pipe before the sampling hoses
are connected to the DGM.
Retract the handle before the DGM is connected to the
sampling point. The cock must be opened and closed slowly.
The pressure in the sampling hoses must not exceed 10 bar.
