AUTOMATIC BY-PASS
Figure 8 shows a plumbing diagram for an automatic BY-PASS (IntelliValve®). This in conjunction with an IntelliFlo
VSF pump can provide added longevity of the heater and increased cost savings of operation. A 3-Port valve with an
IntelliValve actuator is installed at the heater inlet. A check valve is installed at the heater oulet so that water cannot
ow back into the heater. See instructions for Automatic Bypass valve kit (P/N 462048) for setting the open and closed
position of the IntelliValve.
