OPERATION OF IGNITION MODULE
The Ignition Module, see Figure 45, is microprocessor based and operates on 24VAC supplied by the transformer. The
control utilizes a microprocessor to continually and safely monitor, analyze, and control the proper operation of the gas
ame holder. The module with the presence of the ame sensor, using ame rectication, allows the heater to operate.
Diagnostic errors are displayed on
the control panel LCD: PS, HLS, SFS,
AFS, AGS, IGN, or NONE.

ERROR PS MESSAGE
• The ERR PS message on the LCD indicates that there is insufcient water ow to the heater. If the pump is operating,
this usually indicates that the lter and/or skimmers should be cleaned (some lters may require back-washing). If the
message remains on after the lter/skimmers have been serviced, the system should be checked by a qualied service
technician.
RISK OF EXPLOSION OR FIRE CAUSING BURNS OR DEATH IF SAFETY INTERLOCKS ARE DISABLED. DO NOT attempt to operate
heater when The ERR HLS, ERR AFS, ERR IGN, ERR AGS, ERR SFS, E01, E05, E06, 126 messages on the LCD indicates a fault in the
heater or its controls. If any of these messages are displayed, shut down the heater (See “TO TURN OFF GAS TO THE APPLIANCE”
on page 43), and have a qualified service technician check the system.
