“Injector Solenoid Test”
Use the “Injector Solenoid Test” on the electronic
servicetooltoaidindiagnosinganopencircuitor
a short circui
t diagnostic code while the engine is
not running. The “Injector Solenoid Test” will send
a signal to each solenoid. The electronic service
tool will ind
icate the status of the solenoid as “OK”,
“Open”, or “Short”.
Note: On six
cylinder engines, the use of a shared
supply will mean that a short circuit in the wire that is
used as a supply for the injector solenoid will cause
three cylin
ders to have diagnostic codes.
