Troubleshooting Section
Possible Performance Effect:
The engine speed is limited to low idle if the
secondary throttle is in operation.
Troubleshooting:
Perform the f
ollowing diagnostic procedure: Throttle
Position Sensor Circuit - Test”
Results:
OK STOP.

CID 0774 FMI 13
Condition
s Which Generate This Code:
The frequency or the duty cycle of the signal from the
secondar
y throttle input is incorrect.
System Response:
The Electronic Control Module (ECM) will log the
diagnostic code. The ECM ags the throttle position
as inval
id data and a default value is used.
Possible Performance Effect:
The engine speed is limited to low idle.
Troubl
eshooting:
Perform the following diagnostic procedure: “Throttle
Posit
ion Sensor - Test”
Results:
OK STOP.
i04016593
CID 1779 FMI 05
Conditions Which Generate This Code:
The diagnostic code indicates that the Electronic
Control Module (ECM) has detected an open circuit
in
the solenoid for the fuel rail. The diagnostic code
indicates that the Electronic Control Module (ECM)
has detected a low current condition in the solenoid
fo
r the fuel rail.
System Response:
If equipped, the diagnostic light will come on and the
ECM will log the diagnostic code.
Possible Pe rformance Effect:
An electrica
l fault may prevent the provision of
pressure to the fuel rail. The prevention of the
provision of pressure to the fuel rail may result in the
loss of fuel
injection. If the solenoid for the fuel rail
pump fails, it is likely that fuel will not be pumped
into the fuel rail. The engine will stop or the engine
will not sta
rt.
Perform the following diagnostic procedure: “Fuel
Rail Pump S
olenoid - Test”
Results:
OK STOP.
i04016594
CID 1779 FMI 06
Conditions Which Gen erate This Code:
The diagnostic code indicates that the Electronic
Control Module (ECM) has detected a short circuit
in the s
olenoid for the fuel rail. The diagnostic code
indicates that the Electronic Control Module (ECM)
has detected a high current condition in the solenoid
for the
fuel rail.
System Response:
If equipped, the diagnostic light will come on and the
ECM will log the diagnostic code.
Possible Pe rformance Effect:
An el
ectrical fault may prevent the provision of
pressure to the fuel rail. The prevention of the
provision of pressure to the fuel rail may result in the
loss
of fuel injection. If the solenoid for the fuel rail
pump fails, it is likely that fuel will not be pumped
into the fuel rail. The engine will stop or the engine
wil
l not start.
Perform the following diagnostic procedure: “Fuel
Rai
l Pump Solenoid - Test”
Results:
OK STOP.
